Harvest & Seasonality

Sowing for Kandhamal turmeric takes place from April to May. The flowering period occurs between September and October, followed by harvesting from December to February. Drying and processing of the turmeric, which involves careful supply chain management, is done from January to April. The peak export season is from February to June, during which tribal farmers sourcing this valuable spice play a crucial role.
